Carry on camping
10th June 2009
Many more people are going on camping holidays as it’s cheaper, healthier and suddenly it’s become a bit trendy too. There’s no better place to camp than the mountains.
The High street shop Halfords has just released it’s annual results. Profits have gone up to £94.4m, from £90.2m last year.
When many High Street retailers are enduring tough times Halfords is doing rather well and it put its success down to more and more people camping and a growth in bicycle sales.
Camping used to be frowned on by many but now it’s become fashionable with glossy articles in supplement magazines and even so-called designer tents.
The credit crunch has helped things too as people try to cut the cost of a holiday.
Here at PlanetSKI we’ve been camping for years and as often as we can, up the mountains.
