Ski journalist sings on the BBC
22nd October 2009
Cate Langmuir, the ex-editor of The Good Ski Guide magazine, appears on the BBC as part of The Electric Proms. She’s singing in a Bulgarian choir.
She is part of the 40-strong London Bulgarian Choir and is performing at The Roundhouse in London with the rock band, Doves. It is Bulgarian music like you’ve never heard before, if indeed you have ever heard Bulgarian music.
Cate comes from a well-known Scottish ski family; her brother, Sean, used to race in the GB team for many years and is a former technical director of BASI while her father, Eric, was involved with BASI in the early days and wrote books about mountain navigation and safety.
Cate is a respected ski journalist and contributes to various ski publications.
Now though she is also a singer.
Check out the preview here and turn on BBC 2 tonight at 11.20 if you’re interested.
