Want to go heli-skiing?
6th November 2009
A new company has been launched to help you, but it doesn’t come cheap. You will, though, remember it for the rest of your life.
The new company, Worldwide Heliskiing, acts as an agent for a number of heli-skiing operations around the world including Valdez heli-ski guides in Alaska, Great Canadian heli-skiing, Helitrax in Tellride in the USA and SwissSkisafari who organise trips that take in Switzerland, France and Italy.
It is run by 2 good friends of PlanetSKI’s, James Gambrill and Polly Hamilton.
“We aim to take the hasseI out of organising a heli-skiing adventure and create the trip of a lifetime,” Gambrill has told us.
“It is difficult setting up in these challenging economic times but I’m confident there is a market for this fantastic experience.”Heli-skiing though is not cheap.
A package with Great Canadian heli-skiing will set you back £2,850 for a 6 day holiday.
It will include 2 days heliski and all ski passes including 4 nights accommodation in a luxury lodge on a bed and breakfast basis in Kicking Horse, BC and 3 nights at the heli-base lodge including all meals, transfers and taxes included.
For other trips the sky is, literally, the limit.
Heli-skiing is an unforgettable experience and something many of us at PlanetSKI have done.
For more information check out the web site, Worldwide Heliskiing. and look at some of the heli-ski web sites below. It’s worth it just for the pictures alone.
Sit back and dream.
