“We are always looking for ways to improve everything that we do and we have decided to distill our innovations and aspirations into a small group of chalets that each winter will host prototype ideas for the future,” VIP SKI says.
“These are called our Development Chalets.
“Whilst we gauge your feedback and test the practicality of delivery, we are convinced that each of the subtle changes will enhance your holiday experience.”
And you get the treat of these little extras, without the added cost…
So, in what ways will your holidaying be enhanced by these developments?
First up: Food & drink.
VIP SKI consider food a ‘centrepiece of life’.
And never more so than during a ski holiday.
VIP SKI’s Development Chalets
As a new initiative VIP SKI is working with a kitchen in Kent in the UK.
It’s going to be food powered by COOK company, which has created a special chalet menu.
Ed Perry and Dale Penfold created COOK in 1997 with the idea of taking the same ingredients and methods a chef would use in the home.
It’s nutritious food cooked by hand then blast frozen to deliver to tables in the Alps.
This is with the idea of also freeing up your VIP SKI host to concentrate on the other important stuff:
… Keeping the champagne on ice, serving delicious wine and canapes, or whipping up smoothies at breakfast.
VIP SKI is not working on the food it serves.
Another play is on the wine served, in carafes and sourced straight from vineyards.
Then there are the other small details that can really make a difference, that can ’embellish’ your holiday (if you will):
Netflix, better minibars and introducing a tuck shop – the latter at a very reasonable price.
VIP SKI’s Development Chalets
What’s on the menu?
Your three course evening meal kicks off with dishes such as winter roast vegetable tart, portobello mushroom risotto, rainbow salad with a ginger & sesame seed dressing, or a slow roasted tomato tarte tatin.
For main course your host will serve dishes such as:
- Beef Bourguignon served with Dauphinoise potatoes and cavolo nero with rosemary.
- Basil and mascarpone chicken served with lemon tagliatelle and roasted cherry tomatoes.
- Confit duck served with braised red cabbage and a creamy potato mash.
- Green Thai chicken curry served with coconut and lime leaf rice.
- Fish pie served with seasonal vegetables.
- Slow cooked lamb shank served with warm Moroccan couscous salad
If you still have room served up will be treats like chocolate & salted caramel pavlova, sticky toffee pudding, mango & passion fruit cheesecake and mini lemon tarts.
Retire to the lounge and enjoy a fresh coffee and a selection of cheeses.

The 2018/19 Development Chalets
VIP SKI has selected three chalets in the Alps in which to deliver these small but fundamental service improvements this winter.
The chalets are in the French resorts of Morzine, Val d’Isere and Alpe d’Huez.
They are each unique and are different sizes and style, in order to make sure that any roll-out in the future can be sucessfully delivered to any chalet in the VIP SKI porfolio.
Chalet Nevada, Morzine
Location, location, location.
Chalet Nevada is located right on the high street in the heart of Morzine, just 100m from the Super Morzine bubble and 300m to the nursery slopes.
It has a cool, contemporary interior, complete with a flat screen TV.
But even better are the cracking views of the resort and piste from the south-facing balcony (that’s bathed in sunshine during the day and heated in the evening).
It sleeps 6, with three en suite bedrooms.
