The youth charity is launching a new fundraising challenge in partnership with AJ Bell and City Ski Championships.
Snow-Camp is launching a brand-new fundraising challenge in partnership with investment company AJ Bell, to create the snowsports event ‘AJ Bell Courmayeur Classic’.
It is the UK’s only registered youth charity using snowsports to change the lives of inner-city youth.
The challenge will take place over two action packed days at the Italian ski resort of Courmayeur from the 30th January to the 2nd February 2020.
Participating teams will take on 5 snowsports challenges in 1 unique team event.
The 5 events include ski orienteering, laser biathlon, parallel slalom racing, a team distance challenge and a snow-shoe relay.
The ‘AJ Bell Courmayeur Classic’ was inspired by the 10-year success of Snow-Camp’s annual Alpine Challenge in Morzine.
This year, though, the charity wanted to shake things up and wanted to re-inspire teams to get involved helping to raise funds for Snow-Camp’s ongoing work with young people.
The camaraderie, healthy competition and legendary après-ski events will continue alongside the new ski challenges and in a stunning new location.
Also new for this year’s challenge is an exciting partnership with the City Ski Championships, of which Snow-Camp has been the charity partner for the past two years.
Joining forces means that the two events, the AJ Bell Courmayeur Classic and the City Ski Championships, will run at the same time in Courmayeur.
Snow-Camp is hoping the AJ Bell Courmayeur Classic will run for the next 10 years just like previous Alpine Challenges did before it.

Andy Bell CEO of AJ Bell, sponsors of the event, said: “We are excited to once again support Snow-Camp’s biggest annual fundraiser and can’t wait to take part in the new event!”
He continued: “The work Snow-Camp undertakes with young people is so important we want to do all we can to get behind Dan and the team. Events like this are great fun for everyone involved, and really help raise the profile and funds needed for Snow-Camp’s work.”
Snow-Camp founder, Dan Charlish, said, “I am so proud to be launching our new fundraising challenge alongside long-term partners AJ Bell, City Ski Championships and Momentum Ski.”
“We’ve all been working extremely hard to create our biggest fundraiser to date. Challenges like the AJ Bell Courmayeur Classic help us continue our important work across the country, so please grab three skiing friends and get signed up.”
