The major players release their annual film offerings as winter starts and PlanetSKI has been watching a few. UPDATED

This is the time when the edits drop on line and the film tours take place.

Now is the turn of ‘Defiance’ by North Face.

It shows the newest technology, Futurelight, by following Leanne Pelosi, Jake Blauvelt, and Victor de Le Rue in British Columbia in a showcase of shred.

Next up it’s ‘Return to Sender’ from Matchstick Productions.

Four elite freeskiers share this in common: “the urge to freakin’ send.”

It tells the stories of a renowned veteran, a stunning rookie, a mind-blowing innovator, and a big mountain star carrying on his father’s legacy.

Shot on Location: Selkirk Tangiers BC, Whistler BC, Revelstoke BC, Jackson Hole WY, Squaw Valley CA, Sun Valley ID and Whitewater Resort BC.

Then there is Jyosei.

This new urban/pow ski film was shot and directed by an all-female cast and crew in Japan in February 2019.

It features Maddie Jones, Zoe Blewett, Taylor Lundquist, Mina Itaba, Brooke Potter, and Stefanie Mossler.

Short but sweet!

The grand-daddy of all the production houses is Warren Miller.

This year’s offering does not disappoint.

Timeless celebrates 70 years of ski cinematography and travels with top athletes across the globe to renowned mountain locations.

The only constant is change, but the spirit of winter is eternal.

Kick off the season with Warren Miller’s Timeless, presented by Volkswagen.

This week PlanetSKI has been watching the Mountains on Stage event at The Vue Cinema in Islington in London with our friends from Les3Vallees that is one of the main sposnors.
