There’s a host of events taking place this weekend. The first GB success comes with Izzy Atkin on the podium.

It’s started pretty well for GB Snowsport’s World Cup athletes this season.

Last weekend 16-year-old Zoe Atkin won the ski halfpipe event at Copper Mountain in Colorado.

  • GB’s Zoe Atkin Wins GoldThomas Gerken Schofield finished just off the podium in the dual moguls in Thaiwoo, China.
Andrew Young picked up a top 10 place, finishing 8th in the 15km cross-country in Davos, Switzerland last weekend.

And in alpine, Alex Tilley, is continuing her fine form, collecting more World Cup points.

On Monday she clocked up her fourth top 30 this season, finishing 24th in the giant slalom in the French resort of Courchevel.

Andrew Young and Alex Tilley are among the many British athletes in action over the next few days.

As is Zoe Atkin’s older sister, Izzy, in the Ski Big Air in Atlanta.

And she has made the podium.

Isabel Atkin put down a cork 9 tail and a switch 9 mute in Atlanta on Saturday to take 3rd place.

“Congratulations Izzy, a fantastic result to finish 2019!” said GB Snowsport.
