USA Ski Areas Report Strong Season Despite Covid

Ski resorts in the USA had their fifth best season on record in 2020-21, according to the latest figures produced by the National Ski Areas Association. Some areas had their best season ever. UPDATED

It is much higher than previous years and is nearly double the average over the past 50 years. Covid-19 restrictions, the growth in ski touring and unstable snow are to blame.

More European Countries Ban Flights from the UK

A landing ban comes into force in Austria and the UK is put on the list of variant virus areas. France has introduced strict new measures. France Restricts UK Travellers From Monday

Anyone heading to the Alps or the Pyrenees mountain ranges will need to quarantine for 7-days and prove their visit is essential.  The new measure comes into force on Monday due to the spread of the so-called Indian variant in the UK.
