Saturday July 21, 2018 - Email this article to a friend

Wintery weather brings hail, snow, thunderstorms and blustery winds across south east Australia. Check out the photogallery from ski areas.

Snow lovers are gearing up for a bumper downfall in Australia.

Forecasters predicted a wintry air mass would bring rain, thunderstorms, hail, snow and blustery winds across south east Australia.

Temperatures are expected to plummet as further fresh powder snow continues to arrive across the weekend.

And they were not wrong -  moreover a further 19cm is promised to fall within the next 24 hours.

The ice-cold and windy weather did not deter skiers and snowboarders from venturing out to enjoy the fresh pow.

Check out the photo gallery below showing some incredible photos that have emerged over the last couple of days.

The snowfields across Australia are blanketed in fresh pow and more is on the way.

NEW SOUTH WALES:

In New South Wales this is how it looked at Perisher Ski resort on Friday and Saturday with a further 15cm of fresh snow anticipated over the rest of the weekend.
