Can you guess where this is going? Find the best apres ski resorts across the world. And tell us your favourite too.

Skiworld has done the research so you can trust, ski, chill and then party - party hard.

For many riders, the après is just as important as the skiing.

The perfect end to a long day skiing is a pint in the sunshine, or warming up around fire pits on a terrace enjoying hot wine and local spirits.

Some love to ski all day then hit the dance floor, to burn that hangover off next day on the slopes.

So the tour operator Skiworld has put a list together of the top resorts for après and the most popular spots within each resort.

The Underground Bar in Tignes is infamous for après.

It's known for the cheap beverages and fun drinking games - real apres then...

Another top spot is Loop Bar, found at the bottom of the Rosset and Trolles pistes.

Here is the best place to catch the last of the sun before it hides behind the mountains, and there's nearly always live entertainment.

Grizzly's Bar isn't the cheapest, but the North American log cabin theme makes an excellent atmosphere.

At the bottom of the slopes in Val Claret, there's a sun terrace with fire pits for when the sun's not out.

If you like to dance hard on a ski holiday and like electronic, hip-hop and drum & bass, then head to Melting Pot.

It's underground, closes at 5am and has great drinks promotions to keep you going...

It has to feature it somewhere.... La Folie Douce.

Accessed by skiers and snowboarders by the Marmotte 1 chairlift, you can feel the buzz and follow the music skiing down to the Folie.

Be prepared to tabletop dance to live music and if you're lucky the party saxophone from early to late afternoon.

Based in the centre of town with reasonably priced drinks, live sports and music is the Underground Bar.

This is, unsurprisingly, run by Brits with a London Underground theme and snowboards (of course) decorating the roof.

You can dance all night long at L'Igloo, located under Smithy's Tavern, which is open until 5:30 am.

Drinks are expensive so hit this spot up last.

Check out Le Shooters which is, can you guess, all about the shots.

With 50 different flavours to choose from and happy hour in the early afternoon, there'll likely be a party atmosphere.

Another great space is La Place, with live music every afternoon and evening.

There are often local events such as the Jazz Festival in the centre of Avoriaz or, if you feel like a touch of home, try La Tavaillon on the main street.

It's a British style pub with an outside heated terrace and well-priced drinks - perfect for chilled après vibes.

Bar 360 attracts many young people, with its ideal location and huge terrace.

The fun kicks off around 3pm, you can soak up the last of the sun and enjoy the live music up until the early hours of the morning.

We envisage ski boots clunking home after midnight...

Difficult to ignore and ski on past due to location and the crowd is La Saloon Bar.

Stay there from pm to am and enjoy happy hour and the banging tunes.

Then there's the famous nightclub Malaysia. It's the largest nightclub in the Alps and has hosted many famous DJs such as Calvin Harris, Afrojack, Nicky Romero, Chase & Status.

Wind down after a long day skiing in the Espace Killy ski area by heading to the Cocorico.

It's situated above the Olympic gondola with live music from around 3pm, where there's bound to be your favourite covers played.

There is an outdoor terrace with heaters to warm up by, and later on a DJ will take over and ramp up the music until 8pm.

One of the best and biggest clubs in the French Alps and a name you will hear on repeat is Dick's Tea Bar.

11pm is when the place transforms from a popular bar and restaurant into the place to go once all the bars are closed.

La Petit Danois is a popular spot amongst seasonaires, younger Brits and Scandinavian holidaymakers.

It's great for pub grub and has live music six days a week - Catch happy hour between 4-7pm, where there's a free shot with every drink bought.

A mecca for apres. A mecca for skiing, too.

Basically an overall good spot, and perfect if you like atmosphere and lots of people to party with.

The Mooserwirt is world famous where there's dancing on the tables to cheesy music from 3pm, as beer and Jägermeister flow freely.

Krazy Kanguruh is one of the best après bars, where the staff and guests party hard from 10am to 8pm.

Just make sure you're prepared for the ski down to your accommodation.

A seasonaire favourite is Scotty's with happy hour every day and a wide selection of cocktails and table football to keep you entertained.

High up in the mountains at the top of the Penken cable cars (which run until 5pm) is Pilzbar.

With an umbrella bar and terrace, it's an ideal place to start the celebrations.

Let your hair down at Bruck n Stadl, the après bar.

This is actually where the huge Snowbombing festival kicks off, the mountain fest that showcases some of the world's best DJs.

There's always something going on at Mo's, the café and music bar.

If you're looking for a quiet spot to enjoy a drink, this isn't your spot - energy levels are high as people come from near and far to enjoy the cheesy music.

A little bit further afield, but 100% worth it.

It's a holy grail of a resort for the skiing, for the atmosphere and for the party.

There are après spots to suit every mood and vibe.

The original apres bar that opened in 1965 is Dusty's Bar and BBQ, where there's live music and BBQ bar food that comes in epic portions.

If you are a fan of beer - who isn't - you should go to BrewHouse with its huge selection of craft beers, bitters and lagers that are brewed onsite.

And to have a break from the beer-after-beer, why not take one of their brewery tours.

Longhorn Saloon & Grill has been the most popular après bar for 25 years.

The daily deals - Tequila Tuesday and Friday Weekend Wine'd Up - will help save some pennies in an otherwise quite spenny resort.

Situated at the bottom of Whistler mountain, skiers and snowboarders don't need to go far to get their first drink. imageApres scene
