Monday November 12, 2018 - Email this article to a friend

Film premieres, Q & As with top snowsports athletes. It's Snow Night at the Kendal Mountain Festival.

Billed as an agenda-setting evening, Snow Night looks like being a big draw at the annual festival in England's Lake District.

It takes place on Saturday 17th November and here's a run-down of what's on the programme.

There's an on-stage conversation with Olympic bronze medallist and freestyle snowboarder Billy Morgan.

He'll be joined by his coach, Hamish McKnight, and the GB Park & Pipe Performance Director, Lesley McKenna.

She will also be in conversation with the legendary skier Eric ‘Hoji' Hjorleifson.

He'll be sharing clips from ‘Hoji', his latest film project with Matchstick Productions.

The film will start with an an exclusive personal message recorded for SNOW NIGHT by the big mountain legend himself.

The Director of Kendal Mountain Festival, Steve Scott, says Snow Night has been revamped.

"This year we're giving it the big show treatment," he says.

"We've tripled the size of the event, and have a stellar line-up that includes film premieres, unplugged conversations and insights from some of the world's top snowsports athletes and activists.

"We're looking forward to sharing some incredible adventures and firing everyone up for the winter season ahead".

The event is sponsored by ORTOVOX.

"ORTOVOX are delighted again to be presenting sponsor of this incredible celebration of snowsports," says Lucy Wilmott of Noble Custom/Ortovox UK.

"It's particularly rewarding to see this event flourish and the audience now travel here from all over the world.

"Kendal is the creative social gathering for the outdoor community".
