It's the new double zip wire that flies you straight into the heart of the resort of Val Thorens. The Bee is now open.

The highest resort in Europe already has the highest zip line in Europe.

Now there's another zip wire that you can enjoy with a friend.

This double zip will take you (and your skis) straight back to the centre of Val Thorens if you have tired legs at the end of the day but still want an adrenalin rush.

The flight is 1,800 metres long with a 200 metre vertical descent.

You'll be 65 metres above the ski slopes.

The average speed is 65 km an hour.

You can even get some GoPro footage of your flight as a souvenir:

The flight takes off from the top of the Moutière chair lift.

It lands in VT's Place Caron.

The zip wire is in three sections.

The Val Thorens lift company SETAM, has invested 1.2 million Euros in the the zip wire.

It will be open every day in winter for skiers and pedestrians and also in the summer.

It costs €35 per person for anyone over 14.

PlanetSKI was in Val Thorens for the opening weekend of the season at the end of November but sadly the new zip wire wasn't yet open.

We did, though, see the final preparations being made at the top of the zip wire:
