140 PEOPLE EVACUATED FROM USA CHAIRLIFT

The incident took place in Whitefish Mountain Resort in Montana after Chair 5 suffered a mechanical failure. NEW





It took 2 and a half hours to evacuate the people last weekend in poor weather.

Most were lowered to the ground by winch and cables.

No-one was injured and the operation has been praised by the authorities.

An investigation is underway.
