The cross country World Championships end in Seefeld in Austria this weekend.

Andrew Musgrave will be looking to take his top ten form from the skiathlon and 15km into the 50km skate.

He finsihed fourth in the event in 2017.

There are also GB athletes in action at World Cups for moguls, snowboard cross and alpine over the first few days in March.

CROSS COUNTRY
World Championships, Seefeld AUT - Thu 21 February to Sun 3 March

Andrew Musgrave produced his third World Championships top 10 result as he powered to equal eighth in the men's 15km classic yesterday in Austria.

The 28-year-old has made strong improvements to his classic racing over the past two seasons and proved it by improving his 2017 result by four places in one of his best international performances.

The result came just four days after recording seventh place in Saturday's skiathlon.

Andrew Young was 36th, his best individual World Championships performance outside the sprint races.

As you may have seen elsewhere on PlanetSKI we were at Seefeld watching the event.

The pair will line up on Sunday in the final event of the World Championships, the 50km skate.

There is much anticipation around Musgrave's chances after he broke records with a fourth place effort in the corresponding event in 2017, just 1.5sec off the podium and less than three seconds from the win.

On Tuesday, Nichole Bathe and Annika Taylor finished their Championships with the 10km classic.

Bathe finished 50th and Taylor 58th, with the pair now joining James Clugnet in Beijing, China for a series of sprint races over the coming week.

Sunday's 50km mass start commences at 12pm GMT with coverage on Eurosport 1 from 11:30am.

However the World Championshops have been overshadowed by yet another doping crisis for Nordic.

9 people were arrested, including 5 athletes.

Fresh from strong results at the World Championships and last week's World Cup in China, a quartet of GB Moguls skiers are in Kazakhstan for the final event of the season.
