Friday March 1, 2019 - Email this article to a friend

Five quick thinking teenagers rescue a boy dangling from a chairlift in Canada. Check out the video of the incident.

The incident happened on Thursday at Grouse Mountain near Vancouver.

An 8-year old boy slipped from a chairlift and was dangling from the lift, but five teenage boys (aged 13 and 14) who were skiing by took the initiative and rescued him.

They asked him to kick off his skis.

They grabbed some safety netting by the side of the piste for the child to jump into and encouraged the 8-year old to let go.

The five teenagers caught the child who dropped around 6m into the netting.

They are being hailed as heros.

As a reward their season pass for Grouse Mountain will be extended for another year.
