Monday March 4, 2019 - Email this article to a friend

It was caught on camera by a passing driver. The road was closed as hundred of skiers were affected but no-one was injured.

The I-70 is the main road from Denver that gives access to most of the state's major ski resorts - Breckenridge, Vail, Aspen, Keystone, Copper, A-Basin and many more.

It happened between Frisco and Copper Mountain shortly after 5PM on Sunday.

The road was full of skiers and snowboarders returning after a weekend's skiing.

The road is also one of the main east-west transportation routes.

It took the authorities 90-minutes to clear the debris then the road was re-opened.
