That's what's being promised by the British Alpine Ski School if you join one of their Ski Performance Breakthrough clinics.

These BASS clinics are aimed at advanced and expert skiers - those who are comfortable on black runs.

And there is still some availability for this Spring.

BASS operate at 11 resorts in the Alps.

They offer coaching in small groups or private lessons tailored to the needs of everyone from beginners all the way up to pro athletes.

As they say, whatever level you are, you never stop learning.

There are courses specifically for kids, women, off piste and adventure courses, bumps clinics, weekend or short-break instruction, teen freeride courses.

And more.

All are run by ski instructors with the highest qualifications.

BASS also run adventure trips further afield for the most experienced skiers - heliskiing in Canada, powder in Japan and ski touring in Norway among them.

Here we take a closer look at the Ski Performance Breakthrough clinics.

What's the aim?

To get experienced enthusiastic skiers to learn how to:

  • Influence their skis with subtle, accurate inputs
  • Ski with more power for less effort
  • Use the principles that great skiers use
  • Produce those great results for themselves

BASS say all skiers join the Performance Breakthrough programme at the Level 1 clinic level.

You must be able to ski black runs safely to join the programme.

Many skiers take the Level 1 clinic several times.

"You will keep developing on this course, every time you take it," BASS say.

"This provides the thorough, deep and broad development process that so many have enjoyed."

Level 1 availability this Spring in the French ski area of Morzine:

  • Monday 18 March to Friday 22 March 2019
  • Monday 1 April to Friday 5 April, 2019.

These Level 1 clinics are five days of five hours each day with a maximum of six clients.

There are three more levels you can aspire to:

Level 2 clinics  - you will be invited to join after sufficient preparation at Level 1. The skills of versatilty and resilience are developed. It is more physical then level 1. Everyone here follows a fitness programme.

Level 3 clinics -  take you into the off-piste environment of Argentiere in the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc ski area. You learn to apply your performance effectively in wild snow on wild mountains.

Level 4 clinics  - use your new skills to join ski touring trips and heliski adventures in Iceland, Canada, Chile, Japan and the Alps.
