WORLD SNOW DAY 2019
Thursday April 18, 2019 - Email this article to a friend

Every year one day in January is dedicated to getting children onto snow worldwide. The 2019 figures are out.

World Snow Day was launched by the International Ski Federation (FIS) in 2012.

Its aim is to get 4 to 14-year-olds to celebrate all things snow.

Resorts and the ski industry globally are encouraged to set up special events.

This year's World Snow Day was the 8th annual event.

It took place on 20th January.

FIS says there were more than 315,000 participants at 464 events in 45 countries.
