Always looking to keep updated and speedy, what's new in the ski lift department?

A new 10-seater gondola lift is planned for Courchevel Le Praz.

Following a route- redesign, the gondola will connect Courchevel Le Praz to the centre of Courchevel 1850.

This ride will take you there in under 6 minutes.

The departure station will be housed in the new Alpinium multiservice building; the arrival station just underneath Courchevel 1850's Croisette.

And on the topic of 1850...

There's been a big redesign here too.

The Tovets chair has been moved slightly, the toboggan run has changed at the top and the whole thing should be easier for pedestrians.

A new 4-seater chair lift is planned.

The 4-seater Grandes Comber is to link the brand new 4* Hôtel L'Écrin Blanc opposite the Aquamotion leisure centre to Courchevel 1850.

A new 1km blue run will serve this site.

FREERIDE

Les Creux Noirs, Courchevel's secret powder spot.

Here is the new Freeride LAB, Courchevel's 'powder snow laboratory', the resort is calling it.

It's the perfect place to practice your powder skiing on your way to becoming an expert all-terrain skier.

This demanding high-altitude sector provides access to the area's renowned off-piste areas.

That, and incredible panoramic views.

So, up here in one of Courchevel's well kept secret powder spots there's to be a new look.

Two red runs and a run, left ungroomed but made safe throughout winter, to be enjoyed by more aspiring off-piste skiers.

A LOOK FURTHER AHEAD

To the 2023 World Championships.

"Our goal is to make people want to be a part of this incredible skiing experience and to join us in a huge celebration.

"This will be the skiing world's flagship eventof the next 15 years, and a chance to let Courchevel, Méribel, Savoie and France shine."
