Wednesday August 28, 2019 - Email this article to a friend

Zoe Atkin was on the podium in the Women's Freeski event at the World Cup in Cardrona, New Zealand.

She put down a solid second run, incorporating a tidy switch combo in the middle, to land herself in third place.

In all she put in a Right 540 safety, Left 720 mute, Switch right 540, Switch left 540 and Switch right 360 tail.

It follows the weekend success of Katie Ormerod who took silver in her comeback event after being out of action for 18-months after injuring herself in training at the Pyeonchange Winter Olympics in February 2018.

In the Women's Freeski field, top qualifier Eileen Gu from China won with the Russian, Valeriya Demidova, in second place.
