Norway has seen a sharp rise in people visiting in recent years. Why? It's a winter experience like no other.

Now here at PlanetSKI we must declare an immediate interest.

We have visited Norway each season for the past few years and have something of a soft spot for the Scandinavian country.

We love the place - its skiing, its people and everytime we have different winter adventures.

It doesn't have the biggest resorts, the deepest powder or the steepest terrain.

It's apres ski can be bettered and drinks could certainly be cheaper.

But for us it offers something like no other - a 100% unique and genuine winter experience.

And the 7 reasons?

The 7 resorts that make up Norway - Home of Skiing.

Beitostolen prides itself on its huge array of activities.

The resort puts together a weekly events calendar and many of the winter activities do not involve skis, so you can change it up and experience something new.

Go dog sledding, tobogganing or ice fishing - the choice is yours.
