The event next year will be held on January 17th 2016. It is now in its 5th year and has gone from strength, to strength, to strength.

Last winter it saw 645 events taking place in 45 countries.

It is organised by the International Ski Federation, FIS, and aims to introduce and encourage kids from 4-years old to 14-years old to take part in snowsports.

See here for our report on last winter's event.

"We are extremely pleased to announce the 5th edition of World Snow Day. The still young event has developed every year with an increasing number of Organisers and participants and we look forward to its' continuing growth," said the FIS President, Gian Franco Kasper.

Registration opens on 1st July.
