New lift for Jackson Hole
Friday May 15, 2015 - Email this article to a friend

The new Teton lift will be operating for next winter at the US resort in Wyoming. It means the first expansion of terrain for 17 years.

It will offer three new runs from the top and also gives access to some glade skiing.

The lower part of one of the new runs, Kemmerer, was open last winter.

It is a single black diamond.

The other two runs accessed are Crags Run, a blue groomer and Wide Open, a blue.

The lift has a vertical of 1,600 feet and will be able to transport 2,000 skiers per hour.

It is the first new terrain opened in Jackdon Hole since the Bridger gondola was installed back in 1998.

There have been many new and replacement lifts in the resort but this gives access to new ski areas.

For some reason Jackson Hole is a resort we have never visited here at PlanetSKI.

Big mistake and we hope to rectify that sooner rather than later.

For the spirit of the mountains
