'30 Days of Snowsport' in England reaches midway point with hundreds trying skiing and snowboarding nationwide with more opportunities to come.

As the '30 Days of Snowsport' initiative reaches its midway point, hundreds of people across England have already given skiing or snowboarding a go for the first time.

Slopes nationwide continue to offer free or discounted taster and recreational ski & snowboard sessions.

See here for more details about the initiative in this earlier PlanetSKI story.

It is part of Snowsport England's GO SKI GO BOARD campaign and aims to offer people the chance to try skiing or snowboarding for the first time, and let people who already ski or snowboard get their 'ski' legs back, with 70 sessions taking place at 19 facilities across England.

It is supported by PlanetSKI partner, Ellis Brigham.

Specialist snowsports retailer Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports has come on board as the main partner of 30 Days of Snowsport for 2016.

The retailer has a strong interest in growing snowsports and nurturing young talent from this country.

It is also supporting a whole series of events this autumn as we have reported in this earlier PlanetSKI story.

For the first time, 30 Days of Snowsport is offering 25 dedicated events at 19 slopes and facilities.

There are at least 70 free or discounted taster and recreational sessions running throughout the campaign.

There are still over two weeks to get involved, and free taster sessions are happening at Sunderland Sports Complex from 10th-16th October.

Discounted sessions will also be running at Aldershot, Kendal, Mendip and Ski Rossendale.

During 30 Days of Snowsport many slopes will also be running open days, races, competitions and freestyle events.

Last week saw GB Park and Pipe star James 'Woodsy' Woods touring the country along with international freeski stars as part of the 30 Days of Snowsport campaign.
