GB Park and Pipe skier Madi Rowlands ends her season on a high as the world rankings are released. NEW

She is one to watch as the AFP World Rankings have just been unveiled.

The 17 years old, has finished the 2016/17 season ranked 2nd in the Overall AFP (Association of Freeskiing Professionals) World Rankings.

She is 1st in the Junior AFP World Rankings for Halfpipe and 2nd in the Overall Junior AFP World Rankings.

"This is a huge achievement. All freeskiers want to become overall World Champion, so to be ranked 2nd Overall (not just in the juniors) at just 17 years old is a huge deal," said Head Ski Coach, Pat Sharples.

"This is an incredible achievement that is hugely significant. For me this is just as important as her Youth Olympic Games medals, especially as she carried an injury in a couple of the events meaning she couldn't perform her full run. And the great news is that we have a great deal more to bring out of her," said the GB Park and Pipe Halfpipe coach, Jamie Matthew.
