The PlanetSKI Idaho road trip comes to an end. What a week of adventures on the road & in the mountains… next stop Colorado. NEW
PlanetSKI’s Road Trip in Idaho:
It’s not the most obvious place for a US ski road trip and that’s exactly why I chose it.
The US state has one resort that is known internationally, Sun Valley, and I gave it a wide berth.
This trip is all about going to unheard of resorts: Bogus Basin, Brundage Mountain, Tamarack and Schweitzer.
And heading into deepest Idaho and staying in Boise, McCall and Sandpoint.
You may have read the daily blogs I posted and here they are again, edited, placed in chronological order and with a few extra photos.
First the seven best photos from the road:
And re-live the journey – it was quite an adventure.
Boise in Idaho to ski Bogus Basin: Back on the road
Next up was the town of McCall for Brundage Mountain & Tamarack: Idaho ski road trip moves on
Finally Sandpoint & the resort of Schweitzer Mountain: On the road, McCall to Sandpoint
And here are the seven best photos from the slopes:
Now, if any of this has inspired you then remember the feeling and maybe start making plans for your own adventures later this season or next.
It really isn’t that tricky to organise and you will have the proverbial ‘trip of a lifetime’.
Avoid the tour operators, go to resorts you have never heard of and experience a whole new level of skiing adventure.
Go on, you only live once…
