New Ski Run for Courchevel

Details of the new black run have been unveiled and it seems PlanetSKI readers are itching to give it a go and test their ability. Are you up for it?

The Eclipse black run is a slope created for the 2023 Alpine World Ski Championships.

It will be open next winter to us mere mortals who are in Les3Vallees.

It starts at the Col de la Loze (2,234m) with a 30% incline and goes through a dense wooded area before ending in the village of Le Praz (1,300m).

Seems our readers are keen to give it a go judging by the comments on the PlanetSKI Facebook page:

Scott N. Bridges: ALLEZZZ

Giorgio Marchesini: Terrific!

Duncan Scott: I hope we get to go and try this out!

Helen Kay Scott:  I’m too good for it. I’ll probably melt the snow with my speed.

James Potter: – or plough a groove in it with your head !

Claire Langman: Amazing!!!! March here we come! New Jerusalem fun!!

Dan James: Charley Weaver naughty. 3V this year for a trip?

Tony Fuge: Looking at the work during the summer. It is a completely new at the start then following the Bouc Blanc piste before joking the Jockey. Huge amount of earth moving involved at the old jockey seems to have been widened and reshaped.

Neil Phillips: Gotta love Courchevel. 10€ for a small beer

Carol Chambers-Workman: where did you find one that cheap?

Scott Fraser: Looks like it’ll be a cracking run.

Tom Wake: Isn’t this just the existing lanches + jockeys?

David Pulman: Let me at it!!

Claire Archbold: Lyndsey Alexandra Hawkins Hannah Jones meet your at the top and we can have a race down
