Two dead in Helicopter Crash in Courchevel

The aircraft came down shortly after 5 o’clock on Tuesday afternoon. Three other people were injured, one seriously. NEW

The accident happened between between Lac Rosière and Dent du Villard at an altitude of  1,900m.

It was a civilian helicopter and the authorities were alerted by an eyewitness.

According to local media, the helicopter belongs to a Courchevel businessman, Patrick Lepeudry.

A spokesman for the Savoie regional government said the civilian helicopter took off from Courchevel at 3.41pm local time.
