Lockdown Ski Lessons With A Difference

Fancy some top tips on your ski technique?  Let’s face it, most of us are not going to see a slope this season but we can still benefit from free coaching by expert instructors.  How?

Our friends at Maison Sport have launched what they say is a unique new service connecting independent ski instructors with skiers and snowboarders unable to hit the slopes who want to keep working on their ski skills.

The ‘virtual’ service is available free to skiers of all levels, though you’ll need a video of yourself skiing.

Customers simply upload their videos and can, if they wish, request help on specific areas they want the instructor to focus on.

Within 48 hours, one of Maison Sport’s independent ski instructors – including a number of ex Olympic skiers – will analyse the videos and offer tailor-made feedback.

“We know that the closure of ski resorts across the world has been heart-breaking for both independent instructors and passionate skiers,” the CEO and co-founder of Maison Sport, Nick Robinson, said.

“We want to do all we can to support our entire community and find ways to connect people despite restrictions being faced in the current pandemic.

“At Maison Sport, we know how much travel has been impacted this year, and so many have missed annual ski trips.

“We want to give our community the opportunity to get free technical feedback from the independent instructors who operate on our platform.

“The process is really easy, straightforward, and very fun and useful for everyone!”
