Congratulations Continue for Dave Ryding

The Rocket finished the season in 8th place in the slalom World Cup. It has been heralded as a superb performance, and earlier Dave told PlanetSKI he was highly likely to be in the starting gate for next season.

The 35-year old finally reached his goal with a win at Kitzbuhel and at the end of the season he is in the Top Ten – Eighth place overall.

By any criteria it is a fabulous performance by GB’s best ever skier.

The overall slalom title was won by Henrik Kristoffersen from Norway.

Dave Ryding had a disappointing time at the Beijing Winter Olympics, but his season will be remembered for his performances in the World Cup.

And let’s not forget the GB snowboard cross athlete, Charlotte Bankes.

She too had a disappointing Olympics but won the World Cup Crystal Globe.

And we should also celebrate another GB snowsports success this winter.
