Artificial Ski Slope Opens Near Ukranian City of Lviv

It claims to be the largest year-round artificial ski slope complex in the world and the facility is spread over 19,000 square metres.

There are some larger ones, but they are not open 365-days a year.

It has snow guns from TechnoAlpin so artificial snow can made in the winter months.

There are floodlights for night-skiing.

It is in the area of Vynnyky, 4 km away from the centre of Lviv.

Along with a 4-seater chairlift, it has a restaurant, ski school and a rentals shop.

Skitrax World supplied the equipment for the installation and operation of the ski slopes.

There are two slopes, each 460m long and 20m wide.

There are also tubing tracks.


It is reported that the people of Lviv are “delighted to have received such a professional sports and recreation complex.”

The reaction goes on to state that “everyone hopes that this unique facility will not fall victim to the current war situation.”
