FIS Marketing & Media Division Opens for Business

The International Ski and Snowboard Federation has announced two more appointments to its media and marketing division. The new division has divided FIS. NEW
Roberto Nosotti has been named as director of media rights for the FIS M&M.
Nosotti spent 12 years as senior vice-president of media rights at Media Partners Srl before holding the role of director of winter sports for 14 years at Infront.
He has also spent the past 12 months working as a consultant for WSC Sports.
Oliver Quast is set to join as director of business and legal affairs.
Quast is an experienced sports and media lawyer who has previously worked for FIFA and the European Broadcasting Union.
This may seem like just another administration department in a sporting organisation, but its significance is wider and could have significant on the finances behind the sports.
Some of the major snowsports nations oppose the new structure as they fear it takes away their control and may impact on their finances.
They include Austria, Croatia, Germany and Switzerland.
