Viewing platforms and walkways are all the rage in the Alps with many being constructed. They offer another activity out on the slopes and are perfect for the Instagram generation.
This summer work began at the top of Mont Fort to create a scenic panoramic platform.
Located at 3,330m it is scheduled to open this winter.
“Visitors can now enjoy an exceptional 360-degree panorama of the entire alpine range from Mont Blanc to the Matterhorn,” said the resort.
This new infrastructure will complete a package of already available attractions in the vicinity, including a Via Cordata, Via Ferrata and the Mont4Zipline.
In the winter the view from Month Fort remains one of the best viewpoints in the Alps in our opinion.
What do you think?

See this related article we have just posted on PlanetSKI about the approaching winter season in the resort:
PlanetSKI is planning a visit in January 2023 and we will be looking at the secret side of Verbier and its undiscovered treats.
We will be staying down the valley in La Chable and reporting on the little-known secrets of the Swiss resort.
We visited Verbier last winter, but only for 24-hours:
And we should point out that we have been to the summit of Mont Fort in the summer near where the new viewing platform will be.
We did it the hard way.
