The paralympic skier is taking a rest. She has been one of GB’s most successful winter athletes. NEW
Her record speaks for itself.
Millie Knight’s debut Paralympics was the Sochi Winter Paralympics in 2014.
At the age of 15 she was the youngest ParalympicsGB competitor at any Winter Paralympics.
She was the flag bearer at the opening ceremony for ParalympicsGB and she came 5th in the slalom and giant slalom.
Four years later at the 2018 Paralympics in Pyongchang she took two silver medals in the downhill and super-G with her guide Brett Wild.
The pair also won bronze in the slalom.
In 2022, she won the gold medal in the women’s visually impaired super combined event at the delayed 2021 World Para Snowsports Championships.
She also won the bronze medal in the women’s visually impaired Super-G event.
She has announced on twitter that she is taking a rest.
Sorry for the delay of this post but I have decided to take a year out from Skiing. Following some incredible results last season, I feel that now is the best time to finally recover from the long-term effects of the multiple concussions I’ve sustained over the years. pic.twitter.com/FDOB2MyNjB
This summer, at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, she competed for Team GB in Karate.
