GB Snowsport Claim Against UK Sport Over Funding Cut Is Dismissed

It went to independent arbitration after £7.2m was awarded to support the Ski and Snowboard programme and £4.7m for the Para Ski & Snow programme. The money is for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. NEW

UK Sport has confirmed the conclusion of an appeal brought by GB Snowsport regarding investment for the Milan-Cortina Olympic and Paralympic cycle.

An independent arbitrator appointed in accordance with the UK Sport Independent Appeals Rules dismissed the challenge.

The investments into GB Snowsport announced on 25 July 2022 therefore remain unchanged, with £7.2m awarded to support the Ski & Snow programme and £4.7m to support the Para Ski & Snow programme.

It means the axing of funding to the GB slalom squad despite their continuing success.
