The charity that helps underprivileged youngsters find a path in snowsports is celebrating its 20th birthday. It is hosting a fabulous fund-raising event in Val Thorens & PlanetSKI is joining the event and reporting back. NEW
To celebrate Snow Camp’s 20th Anniversary there is a special event to raise funds for its programme.
Final preparations are now underway with the advanced team from Snow Camp in Val Thorens putting the finishing touches to preparations.
It is the charity’s biggest, most exciting, and most ambitious alpine event yet.
Sponsored by AJ Bell, the 3 Valley Rally takes place in Val Thorens on the 15th-18th April 2023.
Since this is its 20th anniversary, Snow Camp is bringing together 24 teams to take on the multi-discipline challenge across the mountains, competing for the AJ Bell 3 Valley Rally Cup over the course of two days.
“We have all been working hard to create something very special for our 20th anniversary and it is going to be wonderful to have so many supporters out in the Alps together,” said the Founder of Snow Camp, Dan Charlish.
“Events like this raise such important funds our work with young people across the country, and they are a fantastic experience for everyone involved.”
Teams will each have a minimum fundraising target of £5,000 per team.
This will be a one-off event with many special additions because of Snow Camp’s 20 year anniversary – and with 24 teams involved, it is aiming to raise more than £100,000 for the charity’s work.

We are delighted that Snow Camp counts PlanetSKI in its stable of friends and we are in resort for the event – taking part in some of the challenges and doing what we do best – reporting on events like these.
The one fly in the ointment though may be the weather – snow, cloud and wind are forecast.
PlanetSKI is currently in the neighbouring resort of Les Menuires in Les3Valleys:
The competition will be split over the 2-days of the event:
Day 1: Sunday 16th April
• Orienteering
• Snow Shoe Hike
• Biathlon
• Zip wire challenge
Day 2: Monday 17th April
• Team Distance Challenge
• Team Parallel Slalom Race

Snow Camp has worked hard for the past 20 years to help change young lives for the better, and even after the setbacks of the pandemic, its courses are now back at capacity and going from strength to strength.
Funds raised from the AJ Bell 3 Valley Rally will provide much needed support to young people across the UK.
