Melting Austrian Glacier Reveals Body of Missing Skier

It is the latest finding as the alpine glaciers retreat at an alarming rate as climate change impacts.
A mountain guide found the remains in the east Tirol.
They are believed to be the remains of a 37-year old man who died in an accident on a glacier 22-years ago.
The discovery was made on the Schlatenkees glacier in the Hohe Tauern national park near the Italian border at an altitude of 2,900m.
A rucksack was found close by containing a bank card and a driving licence.
A helicopter was used to retrieve the body.
DNA tests are being carried out to establish his identity.
The man, who had ski touring equipment with him, is believed to have had an accident in 2001.
It is the latest in a series of discoveries as the alpine glaciers retreat.

Around 45 people who have been reported missing in the Austrian Alps since 1964 are still unaccounted for.
