SNO Sets Out its Stall for Next Winter

SNO offers more than one million ski package deals creating the widest selection of chalet, hotel, and self-catered skiing accommodation online.

It offers holidays to France, Austria, Italy and Switzerland, plus customers can choose destinations such as Andorra, Finland, Bulgaria and Norway.

Then there’s further offerings to the USA, Canada and Japan.

SNO was founded by entrepreneur and travel guru, Richard Sinclair, in 2010.

Richard is a former journalist and Series Producer of BBC ‘Holiday’ and Producer/Director at ‘Watchdog’.

Here at PlanetSKI we should make an immediate declaration of interest as Richard is a good friend of the PlanetSKI editor, James Cove.

They share a long BBC past, plus a current love of seeing bands together in London – usually at the Half Moon in Putney as they both live in the area.

Richard has led an adventurous life, from an expedition to the North Pole, competing in gruelling Ironman races, and filming undercover.

“After nurturing a love of travel on the Holiday programme and consumer focus at Watchdog, we created SNO with the customer at the heart of everything we do,” said Richard.

“From ensuring we cover all ski holidays on the market, to creating unique and tailor-made experiences, we’re driven by the challenge to always find the perfect trip for every customer”.

Drawing heavily on Richard’s travel expertise, plus his team’s vast skiing and destination knowledge, SNO not only helps customers book their ultimate ski holiday but imparts a wealth of useful details too.

SNO also ranks trips depending on the most popular destinations, which holidays have the best deals, and what ratings previous customers have given.

With SNO now in its 13th year, Richard and his team have seen many trends come and go and are always willing to share their expert tips.

This winter, these include:

Bargain Christmas ski holidays: With some resorts seeing late snow last year, many families have moved their school-holiday ski trip to half-term and Easter.

Therefore, book a Christmas ski holiday now as prices will rebound as soon as the big snowfalls come.

However pick a high resort like Val d’Isère, St. Anton or Zermatt, to be certain of great snow conditions.

Book early to secure the best deals: The last-minute ski market has changed since Covid, and it’s much safer to book early now.

Many of the cheaper or less popular accommodation has gone; waiting for late deals on the unsold properties doesn’t work like it used to.

A lot of people who tried to book late last year missed out.

Sort that Easter escape now: Easter is getting booked up unusually early.

With the late snow last year, many Christmas skiers pushed back to Easter (with Half Term being full and more expensive) and those families and friends found how much fun spring skiing is, with long sunny days and an early start to the afternoon après ski.

This trend has continued, so secure that Easter trip now for those wanting to ski and après in the April sunshine.
