Crystal Ski Adds New Manchester Charter Flight to Norway

This season one from Gatwick was launched, next season one flies from Manchester. More & more UK skiers are looking at Norway as a ski destination.

The flight to Oslo Gardermoen from Manchester is set to start on 15th December 2024.

It will be a Boeing 737 800 aircraft with a capacity of 200 passengers and will take them to the ski resorts under the umbrella of Norway – Home of Skiing.

“Today I am totally delighted to announce a new charter service from Manchester to Oslo Gardmoen for next winter,” said the CEO Norway Home Of Skiing, Trevor De Villiers, to PlanetSKI.

“Together with Crystal Ski we have seen that this opportunity exists, mainly due to the huge demand for our Norwegian ski products from the UK consumers this winter.

“Seeing this growth, is massively encouraging and an acknowledgment that our ski resorts are as in demand as our main rivals in Europe.”

It follows the launch of a new charter flight from Gatwick to Oslo this winter that has sold well and this encouraged the new one from Manchester for next winter.

Skiing in Norway seems to be of growing interest to UK skiers.

PlanetSKI’s James Cove was on the first charter flight from Gatwick in December 2023.

“Crystal and Norway Home of Skiing have enjoyed a long partnership that has gone from strength to strength,” said the MD of Crystal Ski, Chris Logan.

“I am delighted that Crystal Ski Holidays is able to add another flight from Manchester for next winter, serving more of our customers in the North of the UK.

“Norway has proved to be extremely popular amongst UK skiers as an alternative to traditional ski resorts in the Alps.

“It offers something for everyone, from beginners and families to experienced skiers, whether you’re looking for beautiful scenery, quiet slopes with great infrastructure, all coupled with a warm Norwegian welcome.”

Here at PlanetSKI we are massive fans of skiing in Norway and visit each winter.

Last winter it was VossMyrkdalen and Norefjell on a rail safari.
