GB Wins Another Gold on Snow

Charlotte Bankes took top spot in the World Cup snowboard cross in Gudairi, Georgia. It is the latest success for GB winter athletes. UPDATED
Bankes dominated each heat and sealed first place after a dominant display.
“This is a massive team effort to come away with a victory after some tough times,” said the 2023 overall champion, Bankes.
“I messed up my start but pushed to the end.
“We had a tough start to the season with the whole team. But everyone is working so hard.”
The Briton’s victory was the 16th of her career.
GB’s alpine skier Dave Ryding was in action at the weekend in the slalom in Chamonix.
He was just outside the Top Ten in 11th position, but once again put in a blistering second run – the second fastest of all competitors.
It follows a continuing good season for GB athletes, with success across several disciplines:
