GB’s Zoe Atkin on the Podium Again
16th February 2024
Great Britain’s halfpipe skier, Zoe Atkin, has won World Cup bronze. It adds to her impressive tally of medals so far this season. NEW
The latest success for the 21-year-old freestyler came in the Women’s Ski Halfpipe Snow Rodeo World Cup in Calgary in Canada.
Atkin had gone into the night final as second seed.
Her finals score of 88.00 was enough to secure third place behind Canada’s Amy Fraser and China’s Eileen Gu.
Atkin now has three World Cup podiums from three World Cup competitions this season.
She won bronze at both the Copper Mountain and Mammoth Mountain World Cups.
She also won silver at X Games in Aspen last month.
The results mean Atkin has doubled her career World Cup podium tally since the beginning of the 2023/24 season.
She has a chance to improve on that this weekend.
She’ll be dropping into the halfpipe in Calgary again for the the second of the double-header World Cups and the season finale.
