Provisional Dates for Alpine Ski World Cup 2024/25 Released

It’s a familiar mix but with some new additions, as the International Ski & Snowboard Federation releases the updated provisional calendar.

Men’s Races

There are set to be 39 World Cup starts and an additional six at the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships, that’s 45 races in total.

The provisional men’s calendar for the upcoming season includes nine Downhills, eight super-Gs, nine GSs, and 13 slaloms.

The men have just one confirmed venue in North America, Beaver Creek.

All four disciplines will be showcased in the Colorado resort.

The final event of the season is likely to be in Sun Valley, Idaho 22-27 March 2025 where all four disciplines will take place.

While the women have three confirmed events in North America and will also likely be at Sun Valley.

Women’s Races

The woman have a total of 38 World Cups and six WSC races, adding up to 44 races.

There are eight Downhills, nine super-Gs, 11 GSs, and 11 SLs.

The women join the men in Gurgl in Austria in late November.

The women have seven technical races before the first speed event in Beaver Creek.

We reported last month as the draft programme was released.

Women’s Downhill and Super-G  races are added in La Thuile in Italy, 15-16 March 2025.

The men’s calendar remains the same.

Here’s the latest from FIS, released on May 9th:

Now they have been axed for next season.

Zermatt has reacted to the omission:
