“Gigantidi Roccia e Ghiaccio” is the new solo exhibition of Martina Diez-Routh and will be held July 30th – August 3rd 2024 at the Biblioteca do Morgex.

Just in case your are wondering ‘Gigantidi Roccia e Ghiaccio’ means ‘Rock and Ice Giants’.

Italian/British/Argentine artist Martina Diez-Routh is a London-based painter who creates colourful artworks in soft pastels and charcoal.

Her work centres on the grandeur of the mountains as inspired by many years of living in the mountains of Colorado and Argentina and many trips to the Italian Alps.

Martina also works for the ski industry and is how we at PlanetSKI know her.

This is the second solo exhibition of Martina focusing on mountain portraits, the ruggedness and size of mountains and how humans perceive it.

Her work starts to be a bit freer hand, expressing with vivid colours, the feelings that mountains produce on her.

“I am so happy to exhibit back in Morgex. I love this place, that is why I keep on painting its landscapes. I just enjoy recreating the light I see in different times of the year or day, giving me unlimited options,” said Martina.
