Ben’s Bus Transfer Company Goes Carbon Neutral

It’s claiming to be the first shared transfer company to go carbon neutral as it offsets its carbon footprint.

Shared transfers are already an environmentally friendly way to get to a ski resort from an airport.

People are in a larger vehicle than a private one with other passengers and are sharing the carbon emissions.

Next season Ben’s Bus is going to calculate its total carbon emissions across the winter and donate a sum to the charity Solar Aid.

Instead of buying ‘carbon credits’ Ben’s Bus will donate an estimated £7,000 per ski season to SolarAid to be sure the money will go to reducing CO2 emissions.

SolarAid helps provide sustainable, renewable energy systems to villages in Africa, reducing their use of polluting and dangerous kerosene lamps and generators.

“That’s right folks, if you travel on any of our transfers you will now have your carbon footprint offset via our new environmental scheme,” said the transfer company’s founder, Ben Keown.

“As a responsible company who’s always cared about climate change, we’ve found a way for our monetary contributions to make a real difference.”

“As far as we know, we’re the first shared transfer company to go carbon neutral.

“So now, whether you are on a bus from Geneva to Val Thorens or Grenoble to Tignes you can travel in the confidence that the impact you’re having on global warming is as low as it can be.”

Shared transfers help reduce the number of vehicles heading to ski resorts.
