Ski France Expands with New Chalets on Offer

Leading French accommodation provider, Ski France, is adding three new premium Contactless Catered Chalets to its portfolio. So, what exactly is a ‘Contactless Chalet’?

Originally conceived to overcome the challenges of Brexit and accelerated by the global pandemic, the concept of “Contactless Catered Chalets” offers people a way to enjoy the  independence of a self-catered chalet with  daily delivered meals and housekeeping services.

Ski France’s contactless catering has been a hit, with bookings up 25% over the last six months compared to the same period last year.

Return bookings have also increased by 17% year-on-year, reflecting its growing popularity.

Guests arrive to a fully stocked larder for breakfast, tea and snacks, while meals will be delivered freshly during the day while skiers are out, over six days of the week.

There will be a mid-week linen change, with light clean of the chalet, and hosts at the end of a phone to organise ski hire, restaurant bookings and answer any query.

It’s about staying in a beautiful chalet that has a food option without the meal planning or shopping.

It’s easy, guests are independent, can eat when they like and at a time that suits them but still enjoy none of the faff of meal planning or shopping.

We have written about the holidays in the past on PlanetSKI:

Ski France now offers a wide range of contactless catered chalets across the French Alps in many well-known resorts such as Val d’Isère, Méribel, La Tania and Alpe d’Huez.

These are divided into two groups – Classic and Premium, think three, four, or even five star – and include quality food and drink, afternoon tea and snacks, delicious dinner, a selection of drinks with unlimited wine and a generous amount of beer, and seamless contactless service.

Staying at a contactless-catered chalet can also be good value, with a week’s stay costing from £732 pp in a classic chalet to £1,017 in a Premium Chalet.

Guests can enjoy home-cooked meals made with locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, delivered fresh each day.

With six nights of dinners and one night off to enjoy some local gastronomy, all meals are pre-prepared by local chefs, allowing guests to enjoy gourmet dining at their leisure, making it a home away from home.

A well-stocked kitchen means that everything they need—from a hearty breakfast to après-ski treats—is taken care of, with the option to personalise the experience further.

Classic or Premium

Ski France offers a choice between a Classic or Premium chalet experience.

Opting for the Premium experience will see guests having a Champagne reception.

While dinner remains the same, with a three-course pre-prepared meal, which comes with a daily menu and instructions on how to cook the food, guests will see the difference in their breakfast delivery with premium chalets receiving a bakery delivery daily, smoked salmon, and a selection of local cheeses and after-dinner chocolate.

Rather than the house wines offered in the Classic experience, Premium guests get to choose from a variety of wines, stocked in their homes for the week.

Ski France also adds beers to all chalets, to enjoy after a long day on the slopes.

Here are the three new Premium chalets offered by Ski France:

NEW Premium: Chalet Arda, Val d’Isere

Spread across two floors, Chalet Arda (sleeping 8) blends traditional Alpine style with modern accents creating a spectacular space.

Think soft furnishings, wooden beams, stone architecture, and cosy corners for family and friends to enjoy.

The spacious open plan living area, comprising a generous dining area, spacious sitting room, and fully equipped kitchen, is a perfect place to socialise, especially after an exhilarating day on the mountain.

Even though the chalet is two minutes’ drive from the nearest chairlift, it’s nestled amongst snowy pines offering guests a wonderful level of privacy.

After coming back from the pistes, head to the hot tub on the terrace.

A week’s stay, from 07 December 2024, costs from £1,250pp (£9,998 total*) for 8 people sharing the chalet on a Contactless Catered Basis.

This includes a private shuttle service to-and-from the slopes between 8.30 am to 10 am and 4 pm to 6 pm, available every day (except Saturdays).

Extras in Val d’Isère and Méribel

In select chalets in Val d’Isère and Méribel, guests can also take advantage of our driver service, included in the package.

This service, available during peak hours in the mornings and evenings, makes getting to and from the slopes effortless.

Combined with midweek housekeeping (or daily upon request), this service ensures that the chalet truly feels like your own private retreat, with minimal effort required on the guest’s part.
