London Snow Show Returns to Olympia

The 2025 London Snow Show is returning to Olympia for the first time in 15 years. It will take place on October 18th and 19th 2025. NEW

The venue has often been considered the ‘home of the snow show’ and its return marks a new chapter in the event’s history.

In its hey-day the London Ski Show, as it was called then, alternated between Earl’s Court and Olympia.

The Snow Show is now being run by new owners, The Mountain Trade Network.

We reported on the transfer of ownership in October:

Tickets to the London Snow Show will cost £10 per person, per day.

A weekend ticket costing £15 per person and a family day ticket costing £25 for two adults and two children.

MTN says there will be sections for destinations, brands and retailers as well as a luxury and wellness area.

There will also be live music, talks and opportunities to meet some of the stars of the skiing and snowboarding world.

Olympia is one of London’s oldest event and exhibition spaces, built in 1886.

It is now undergoing a £1.3 billion transformation to become London’s leading premium event space.

There will be refurbishment of both main exhibition halls with two hotels plus a covered central atrium.

The London Snow Show will take up two levels of the exhibition centre, including the mezzanine balcony that looks down onto the ground floor space.

“We’re delighted to have secured Olympia as the venue for the 2025 London Snow Show,” said James Gambrill and Babsi Lapwood-Gambrill, owners of The London Snow Show, in a joint statement.

“Olympia was the Snow Show’s home for over 20 years through the 1990’s until 2010, and hosted some of the biggest and best events with thousands of skiers and snowboarders marking the show as a must attend event to kick off the season.

“We’ll be creating themed zones throughout the show including the Ski Club exploration zone, main bar and theatre and an interactive feature in the centre of the hall.

“Upstairs, at one end of the balcony will be the fitness and wellness zone and at the other, equipment and instruction. Our vision is the show will be the place to come and prepare for the season”.

The trick for MTN will be to try to get back the number of visitors and brands that used to be at The London Show.

It was a must-attend event for the major ski companies and there was much on offer.

One thing that doesn’t seem to have changed is fashion, as retro is now back.

These jackets from 16-years ago wouldn’t currently look out of place in resort and on the slopes today.

Attracting families will also be key.

In 2023 PlanetSKI despatched one of its reporters, Simon Wilson, to the London Snow Show at the Excel Centre in east London.

He went to the old London Ski Shows back in the day and we asked him to take his teenage-self along to the modern offering and note the changes.
