There will be an extra 60 acres with the addition of the new Goat Slide terrain.

The area is south facing with black runs and opens up an adjacent area that was previously out of bounds.

“It’s a really lovely piece of terrain,” said Whitewater general manager, Rebeckah Hornung.

“It’s open alpine, which we don’t have a lot of that.

“We have a lot of glade skiing, so it’s a really exciting step in the product that we offer in the guest experience.

“More space to ski and ride, a new type of terrain, and more terrain.”

“Along with Red Mountain, Whitewater is a must-visit Canadian ski area if you like deep powder and an authentic & genuine ski hill,” said PlanetSKI’s James Cove who passed through a few years back on a RV trip through some off-the-beate-track resorts in British Columbia.

“This new terrain can only make a visit even more worthwhile.

“I currently have no plans to be in Canada this coming winter, but will likely be there for a couple of months in the winter of 25/26 and Whitewater is high up on my list of places to ski.”

This season Whitewater is scheduled to open on December 6th 2024.
