It’s ski season kicks off next month with some improvements:

Increased snowmaking capacity
200 spaces to the Valley View carpark
Work has started on Soho Basin Development

The Soho Basin Development Project is due for completion in 2025.

It will make it New Zealand’s biggest ski area when the new lift and terrain opens.

Sustainability also remains a key priority for Cardrona.

The ski areas will continue their free access road shuttles this winter, as well as their zero-landfill waste initiative – no landfill products will be sold at any of the food and beverage outlets at either mountain.

Plus skiers and snowboarders will again be encouraged to take away their own litter rubbish.

Cardrona is set to open on June 15th.

Its sister resort of Treble Cone is to open two weeks later on June 29th.
