Large Scale Solar Panel Project in Switzerland Set to Go Ahead

Initial planning permission for the solar plant on Alp Morgeten in the Simmental in the Bernese Oberlanwas has been granted.

The plant will produce electricity for 3,000 households.

Four environmental protection organisations campaigned against the planning application, but their objections were rejected.

The federal government now needs to approve the connection lines.
