Cody Bramwell took top spot in the first edition of this season’s Freeride World Tour in Arcalis in Andorra. Check out the video of his winning run.
Cody clinched victory in his first FWT competition, stomping a massive backflip above some serious exposure before pre-ollying a huge cliff down the bottom, tweaking out a double shifty mid-air.
“I was so nervous, but it all worked out, the big trick at the beginning worked out perfectly, then I linked it up at the end. I’m speechless!” said Cody after his victory.
He proved that he deserves his place amongst the world’s best freeriders.

It’s been a while since a British rider was top of the podium at the Freeride World Tour.
5 years ago to be precise when Sascha Hamm won the same event in the same location – Men’s snowboard in Arcalis in Andorra.
So, what is the Freeride World Tour all about?
Check out our preview piece that we ran on PlanetSKI ahead of the event:
The 2021 FWT has three confirmed events:
- Ordino Arcalis, Andorra 19-26 February
- Fieberbrunn, Austria 6-12 March
- Verbier Xtreme, Switzerland 20-28 March
To replace the cancelled events at Hakuba in Japan and Kicking Horse Golden, Canada, the organisers plan to hold a fourth and fifth contest at the confirmed locations, sometime during the weather windows.
